Julia Klöckner is the President of the German Bundestag, serving since March 25, 2025. A seasoned CDU politician, she previously held the office of Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture (2018–2021) and was Deputy Federal Chairwoman of the CDU (2012–2022). Before becoming Bundestag President, she also served as Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and as Federal Treasurer of the CDU. Klöckner returned to the Bundestag in 2021 and now presides over Germany’s Parliament as its fourth-ever female President.
