Timetable
Brigitte Wallstabe-Watermann is a freelance journalist, author and co-founder of the journalist collective “finanzjournalisten.de”. She has written articles for many renowned magazines and journals. Prior to becoming a freelance journalist, she was the head of “Money and Pensions” and “Traders and Investors” at Börse Online. Her many guidebooks focus on investments in stocks, cryptocurrencies and ETFs. Apart from her occupation as a journalist, she is also active as a moderator and speaker. While she wants to improve all Germans’ financial knowledge, she specialises in women.
Ms. Wallstabe-Watermann graduated from the Deutsche Journalistenschule and holds a master’s degree (Diplom) in Economics and Journalism from LMU München.
Sylvie Nicol is a member of the Management Board at Henkel. Based in Düsseldorf, she is responsible for human resources and infrastructure services. Ms. Nicol did her MBA at ESCP Europe Business School, after which she began her career at Henkel, initially in France. She held various positions in the beauty care sector for the next 14 years, including Head of Key Accounts, Sales Director, and Corporate Vice President. In 2013, Ms. Nicol transferred to Düsseldorf.
Carina Garbe is a Senior Manager in the segment Customer Strategy at Monitor Deloitte. Based in Munich, she focuses on the development of customer and market strategies, mainly working on market entry strategies, route-to-market assessments as well as commercial excellence programs.
Prior to joining Monitor Deloitte, Carina graduated at several european business and law schools. She holds an MA in Accounting and Finance from the University St. Gallen, an Msc in Management from Bocconi University and a Bsc in Business Administration from University Mannheim.
Dr. Robert Hauber is currently a Senior Vice President at Deutsche Telekom and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Maygar Telecom. Dr Hauber has been part of Telekom for more than ten years. Prior to this long-lasting commitment, he worked at Procter & Gamble, Hewlett Packard and DaimlerChrysler, where he contributed to the merger of Daimler Benz & Chrysler.
Dr. Hauber holds a doctoral degree from the University of Mainz in Business Administration and a master’s degree (Dipl. Kfm.), which he obtained after studying at the University of Stuttgart and the University of Massachusetts.
Katharina Wagner is an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company based in Berlin. Prior to joining McKinsey & Company, Katharina graduated at several universities. She holds both her MS in international business and her BSc in Business administration from WHU – Otto School of Management, as well as a Master of international affairs in economic and political development from Columbia’s SIPA.

Nina Weiden is a Managing Director within the Final Advisory practice of Lazard in London. From her more than 20 years of experience in both the corporate and investment banking industries, she has gained a strong M&A and IPO background. She holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from WHU, an MBA from INSEAD, and a doctoral degree from the University of St. Gallen. Before joining Lazard, she spent numerous years as a Technology, Media, and Telecoms sector banker, holding various roles at Credit Suisse/DLJ, UBS, and Morgan Stanley and most recently as a Senior Vice President, M&A for Bertelsmann SE & Co KG.
Sophie Frères is the Co-Founder and CEO of LiSA, a Live and Social Shopping Solution. She also works as a Visiting Lecturer on Social and Live Commerce at the Columbia Business School. Prior to her current company Ms. Frères already co-founded other companies focusing on horse accessories and digital shopping. She started her career for Metro, where she stayed for 8 years and worked as Head of Business Innovation Digital Point-of-Sale as her last role.
Ms. Frères holds a bachelor’s degree in Management and Systems from the City University of London and an MBA from WHU.
Dr. Annika von Mutius co-founded empion with Dr. Larissa Leitner, the first skill and company culture based recruiting platform based in Berlin.
Previously, she worked at Multiply Labs, a robotics startup in Silicon Valley.
Annika completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at WHU and then did her PhD in Economics.
Nathalie Schwarzkopf is an Investment Associate at BlackFin Capital Partners. She did her Bachelor’s degree at Maastricht University and then completed her Master’s degree in Strategic Management at the Rotterdam School of Management. Before her position at BlackFin Capital Partners, Nathalie worked as a Management Consultant at BVO Consult. In addition to her role as an Investment Associate, she is also a member of “Global Women in VC the world’s largest global community for women in venture capital.
Christian Underwood co-founded the Start-Up StrategyFrame together with Prof. Dr. Jürgen Weigand and Oliver Kern and currently works as a CEO at the Company. StrategyFrame provides a digital strategy tool for reaching goals via step-by-step guidance. Previously he had his own Strategy Consultant firm Underwood GmbH. This has not been his first experience as a founder, having co-founded several companies targeting the B2C segment.
Mr. Underwood holds a master’s degree in political science South Asia & Political Science General from the University of Heidelberg and an MBA from WHU.
